Something for everyone to enjoy, all year round
Therme Canada | Ontario Place will bring one-of-a-kind experiences to the waterfront – reconnecting people to the Lake and celebrating the outdoors, just like when Ontario Place opened 50 years ago. It will enhance Toronto’s waterfront with planned accessible, year-round public outdoor spaces like the Therme Bridge, Ontario Gardens, enhanced pedestrian and cycling access, and a public beach area.
This past year, urban residents have become dependent on outdoor green spaces for recreation, community gathering, and overall quality of life. Ontario Place is a treasured outdoor space, and plans are for its parklands to remain publicly accessible as part of Therme Canada | Ontario Place. The Ontario Gardens, the outdoor space that will be surrounding the new Therme Canada | Ontario Place building, will also be open to the public, year-round.
Therme Canada | Ontario Place will have something for everyone – free public programming outside on spectacular lakefront parkland, and affordable, family-friendly activities like pools and waterslides inside. Visitors can easily go from inside to outside, feeling connected to nature the whole time.
Plans include surrounding the facility with green public spaces which contain biodiverse gardens of native species, parklands, art installations, and unique spaces for the community to meet.
